Work experience

Magdalena Baliszewska specializes in commercial law. She has more than twenty years’ experience in providing legal advice in the area of establishing, restructuring and liquidating legal entities.

In her practice to-date she has:

• completed numerous projects in the area of restructuring legal entities (mergers, divisions, and transformations) both within the existing capital groups – by internal reorganization – and with a view to establishing joint ventures by entities that are not members of the same capital group. She has also advised on mergers involving several legal entities (one-shot mergers)
• participated in many ownership structure consolidation projects in companies, involving both share sale transactions and squeeze outs
• developed and applied the corporate governance rules for capital groups
• has repeatedly been involved in planning and applying domestic and international tax optimization processes for the largest capital groups

Magdalena Baliszewska advises market leaders operating in the mining industry, trade, construction, communications, finance and health care.

She previously worked in White&Case (2005-2012), Gide Loyrette Nouel in Warsaw (1998-2005) and in Paris (1997).
